Clinical Decision Making

Clinical Decision Making

Clinical Decision Making tools enable you to identify the latest evidence on a patient’s condition or symptoms whether you are at your computer or your patient’s bedside: at home or using a mobile device, allowing you to apply the evidence in real-time. Daily updated summaries of evidence aid you in evidence-based clinical decision making at the point-of care.

The Trust Library provides all RBFT staff with access to

BMJ Best Practice and UptoDate anywhere.

Always follow local Trust prescribing policies when using information from UpToDate.

BMJ Best Practice is a clinical decision support tool, uniquely structured around the patient consultation, with advice on symptom evaluation, tests to order and treatment approach. This is the nationally provided decision support resource, and is available to all NHS services.
